pottery wheel courses, classes and studio time

10am Thursdays, 10am Sundays, (10am Sat is intermediate potters only)

4 X 2hr & 45min classes

$359 per person

this fun and friendly course is inclusive of tuition, 7kg of clay, glazing, use of all modern tools and equipment, and 2 kiln firings of creations made with class clay!

week 1&2 - learning the basics of clay use and throwing on the potters wheel to create bowls, mugs, vases etc

week 3 - learn to ‘trim’ away excess clay from your work, finesse the pieces, carve, and add handles if desired. they are then dried before having their first kiln firing

week 4 - we clean your fired pieces before learning to bring them to colourful life with underglazes and glazes 

*your completed artwork will then be kiln fired for the second time and ready for collection within 2-3 weeks

*classes are 4 consecutive weeks whenever possible

*make up classes for glazing session may be available subject to availability

*extra clay, extra glazing class, and extra firings outside of the 7kg provided for class will incur an additional cost

6pm Tuesdays, 10am Fridays, 2pm Fridays

1 x 2hrs 45mins class

$40 per person

this is unassisted studio time only so you must be able to centre the clay on your own 90% of the time.

clay, kiln firing and glazing classes are extra 

a variety of clays are available for purchase

you are of course welcome to book a glazing class to complete your masterpieces

*you must have completed our 4 week course or similar to attend studio time, call for a chat if not sure

$149 per person - minimum 2 people to run

a fully guided pottery wheel experience where you will have messy fun & make up to 3-4 pieces.

we then complete your creations for you - we trim, finesse, kiln fire, glaze then fire a second time - ready to be collected within 3 weeks.
